Marketplace Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketplace Manager to develop and manage the company's presence on various e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon and eBay. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce and the unique requirements of each marketplace, as well as a proven track record of driving sales and growth on these platforms. The Marketplace Manger will have had experience launching brands on Amazon. This is a critical role that requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a hands-on approach to executing marketplace initiatives. Responsibilities for this role:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce marketplace strategy, focusing on driving sales, customer satisfaction, and establishing the company's presence on key marketplaces.
- Manage the company's listings, pricing, and promotions on various e-commerce marketplaces, ensuring that all products are accurately represented and that the company is maximizing its exposure and sales potential.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the e-commerce business are aligned.
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform e-commerce strategy, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
- Perform competitor research regarding pricing and sales strategies.
- Develop Amazon A+ and B+ content strategy with team to increase glance views & conversion rates.
- Work with team to produce eCommerce exclusives and bundles.
- Review current packaging design to meet Marketplace standards.
- Guide Operations on implementing appropriate carton content labels.
- Produce and manage extensive Amazon promotional calendar & advertising plan.
- Monitor and report on sales and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive growth.
- Respond to customer inquiries and manage customer feedback and reviews on various e-commerce marketplaces, ensuring that all customer issues are resolved promptly and to their satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest e-commerce marketplace trends, best practices, and technology, and incorporate these into the company's strategy and operations.
- Implement strategies to improve product visibility and ranking.
- Collaborate with DTC team to execute marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Manage issue identification and resolution with Amazon support team related to item set up, brand management, customer service and fulfillment.
- Manage and optimize Amazon PPC campaigns as well as any other marketplace marketing programs ensuring performance maintains ROAS targets.
- Identify chargebacks and implement ways to reduce them.
- Manage engagement with the Brand Registry team.
- Identify counterfeit product and work with Brand Registry to remove listings.
- Assist inventory team with demand planning and forecasting.
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing or Computer Science or related field with work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce, with a focus on marketplace management.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay and others.
- Proficient on Vendor Central, Seller Central and other marketplace portals.
- Proven experience driving sales and growth on e-commerce marketplaces.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute e-commerce initiatives that deliver results.
- A hands-on approach to e-commerce, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the details of marketplace management.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of best practices for scaling and optimizing Amazon and other marketplace businesses including strategy, forecasting, marketing, listing optimization, testing, research, and agency management
- Automotive Aftermarket Experience
- Project Management in Monday.com or similar program
