Motorsports & Event Coordinator

Interested in leaving your mark not only on the company, but the industry? Please continue reading.  LOCATION Hybrid (Regular on-site visits & Travel Required / Work from Home when applicable) Kansas City base.  Under the supervision of the Director of Motorsports, this role is responsible for:   

  • Coordinating and executing all motorsports and event operations.
  • Attending events, executing all aspects of on-site event needs including booth set-up and tear down, communication with show coordinators, display vehicle management and sales of apparel and product when applicable.
  • Maintaining and communicating project timelines, ensuring campaigns stay on track, keeping marketing collateral and displays up to date, and documenting event marketing processes.
  • Maintaining communication with clients, vendors, and other departments within the company to make sure deadlines are met.
  • Working with Warehouse to manage logistics to and from shows and prep of event materials.
  • Maintaining the physical storage and inventory of event display material.
  • Support Merchandise team by maintaining merchandise, apparel and promotional items, including receiving, stocking, packing for events and conducting inventory of items.
  • Assisting in reporting on motorsports, apparel sales and event performance.
  • Assist with retail sales of products and apparel. Perform administrative functions on a variety of marketing projects.
The right candidate will have: 
  • Superior organization and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the motivation to do excellent work alongside excellent people.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in event support and coordination (automotive industry experience a plus).
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Marketing, Business or a related field, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to represent MW Company at multiple events.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Requirements for the role: 
  • Located in or around Kansas City
  • Must be able to stand, sit, move, stoop, crouch, and use fingers for extended periods of time, hearing, talking, and yelling.
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface, reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • The work environment also consists of routine travel involving planes, cars, outdoor motorsport venues, entertainment facilities, restaurants, sports environments, and office environment.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time and work some weekends.
